Welcome to the Energy Efficiency Scheme 2009 website run by Department of Education and Skills. The Department are currently offering grants to schools that require upgrading of existing insulation levels within their school. Please note that this scheme is now closed for applications.

All schools that require cavity wall insulation or that have less than 300mm of existing attic insulation are eligible to apply for this grant funding online. In many cases the upgrading of insulation levels within a school building can significantly reduce that school's annual heating bills.

The grants are dependent on a number of conditions which may be found in the documentation link to the left. The list of contractors registered to undertake these works has been published by SEI on their website. This list can be viewed through the link available on the Contact page of the site.
